This might sound a bit nuts, but it really happened! Back in the 60’s the CIA once recruited a feline agent to spy on enemies, according to “Operation Acoustic Kitty.” That was seriously the name of the operation. On its first true mission the cat was dropped off to spy on two men, talking about needed information, on a bench in a park. Shortly after dropping the “intelligent” feline off with it’s implanted microphone microchip in the cat’s ear canal, an antenna was embedded down his tail and a transmitter was implanted at the base of his skull. It wondered off instead into the street where it was hit by a taxi. How awful!
The craziest part is that the whole project cost about $20,000,000!!
